Concert proceeds to Bloodwater Mission

VARNA CORRESPONDENT
VARNA - Worship service was in Varna
church on Sunday with Bob Heywood
leading the service. During the children's
time Bob shared his gifts of music and
sang a few numbers while playing his
accordion. The anthem by the choir was
Shepherd of Love.
Announcements were a reminder of
Julie Webster's upcoming Community
Bridal Shower to be held this Thurs.,
July 10 at 7:30 p.m. at the Varna church.
In September there will be a community
bridal shower for Meggin Bartliff-Reid.
Both Julie and Meggin will be married on
Sept. 27.
Donations can be made at the Varna
Corner Store for Danny Peck who
is getting married Aug. 23.
Service dates and times
The church service on Sun.,
July 13 will be held in Varna and
July 20 will be in Goshen. The
picnic service will be held July
27 at 10:30 a.m. at the pavilion
at the Varna Complex. Please
bring lawn chairs and your
favourite dish for a pot luck lun-
cheon.

There will be an all ages rock concert
at the Heartland Community Church in
Clinton Fri., July 18 at 7:30 p.m. featur-
ing one out of town and three local bands
including "Streetcore" with Cam Laurie
and Patrick Armstrong. All proceeds will
go towards the Bloodwater Mission.
The Joint Search Committee Members
chosen at last week's congregational
meeting are Bill Taylor, Jean Armstrong,
Gordon Hill, Willi Laurie and Jack Eckel.
They are also seeking to add two young
people.
`Laugh out Loud' —The free Summer Reading Program at the Exeter
Library started last Friday and continues every Friday afternoon until Aug. 15.
Sessions go from I -1:45 p.m. for ages four to six and from 2-3 p.m. for ages
seven to 1 2.The theme this year is `Laugh Out Loud. Taking a peak through
