"I've wanted to do this for years. It's different, and I wanted to do some- thing different," adds Gaukroger. Found on Ontario Street, Paddington's Eatery, Ale House and Wine Bar was named after Gaukroger's first stuffed bear, Paddington. Paddington's is a cozy restaurant with a court- yard patio. Many of the ideas within the pub, fea- turing a brick wall inside, were generat- ed from a visit Gaukroger and her six-year-old daughter Madison took to England in September. While there, the pair searched the country- side for pubs, gaining a lot of insight and ideas. Gaukroger's family comes from Britain, where her aunt Claire is a chef in London, England.
