SHDHS RELAY FOR LIFE
June 13-14, 2008
Thanks to the overwhelming support of our community, the 5th
annual South Huron Relay For Life was another huge success.
With 339 participants and 37 teams attending, we raised
$55,000. This is the largest amount ever raised at the event,
bringing our five year total to $217,000. There were also 32 can-
cer survivors that participated in the Survivor Victory Lap.
Although the event was temporarily moved indoors due to thun-
der and lightning, everything proceeded as planned and produced
encouraging results. After the event, the cleanup wasn't as easy
as it had been other years, but the committee was still pleased
that most people stayed and helped. We would like to thank the
following contributors to our event. We are so lucky to live in
such a giving community.

PET ADOPTION BULLETIN
Huron OSPCA (Ontario Humane Society)
CODY
Cody is a 3 -year-old, male, soon to be neutered, Catahoula
mix dog. He was recently surrendered to our shelter as his
family found that they no longer had enough time to spend
with their dog. Cody likes cats and slightly older children
(8+) as he lived with both in his previous home. Cody is a
wonderful dog and has such a sweet and gentle spirit. He is
sad to have lost his family, but would make a great pet for
anyone that likes slightly larger dogs. Cody is around 65
pounds and walks fairly well on a leash. He knows basic
commands and is a pretty quiet guy who only wants to be
loved. Cody needs a permanent and life long home.
