U7 Red
Red Team had an
exciting game this
week against Purple.
Jack and Kyle had
strong performances as
our goalies and did a
great job kicking the
ball out of our end.
Nice field work by for-
wards Paiton, "A.J."
and Cormick.
Impressive passing by
Kurt lead to our only
goal of the game by
Logan. Red Team
ended up with the loss
but not for lack of try-
ing. Dean, Taylor and
Jillian did their best to
defend our goal.
Excellent teamwork
this week Red.
U7 Gold
Gold played one of
the most exciting
games of the year so
far against the Blue
team. It was an excit-
ing match with end to
end action.
Excellent defensive
work by Katie, Meghan
and Alexis helped keep
it a close contest.
Kennedy and
Cameron used amazing
passing skills that
allowed for some excit-
ing shots on net.
The game remained
scoreless for some time
until Nathan's quick
footwork put one in the
net.
Nolan and Conner
made some long passes
and played their posi-
tions with great
skill.Vanessa had some
key kicks to keep the
ball out of our end.
Colin played a great
offensive game and
with some help from
the rest of the team
scored a goal.
Overall it was an
exciting match with
lots of fun. Well done
Gold.
Exeter Red
June 11 4-4 tie
with North
Middlesex (2) 4
versus Exeter 4
Late in the
game, trailing
by 1, Lucas had
a perfect corner
kick to Alek in
front of the for
the game
tying
goal.
Great
effort from the whole
team! Emma played
net the whole game.
U11
June 9
South Huron Fury 6
versus Lucan 4
Goals: Nathan
Boersma, Brett Bryson
(3), Evan Hardie, Ben
Ryan
A great come from
behind victory. Way to
dig down deep in the
second half guys!
Great goaltending by
Evan Hardie and
Wesley Dearing to pre-
serve the lead.
Remember to pass the
ball up the field
instead of dribbling up
- the ball moves faster
than you can!!!
Next game June 16 at
Nabisco versus Grand
Bend.
U9 Blue
U-9 Blue 5 versus
Grand Bend Orange 2
and won 5-2
Goals Jakob (2),
Austin (3).
Commens: Excellent
goal tending by Wes
and Meghan. good
plays by Emily and
Rebekah. Good game
everyone.
U11
June 12
South Huron Lighting
0 versus Coldstream 2
Another close game
for the girls who were
in it right up to the
end.
Keep up the great
efforts girls.
As the season goes on
these are the results
that will change in our
favour.
U13
Strathroy Illusion 3
versus South Huron 3
A hard fought tie in
the land of giants.
Despite losing concen-
tration, and two quick
goals we regained our
composure and came
back to tie up the
game.
Excellent goalkeep-
ing from Rob
Anderson in
the darkest
period of
the second
half kept us in
the game.
Goals from
Taylor Bilcke
and Sean
Taylor (2).
Let's all
take those early
chances.
June 12
North Middlesex (1)
3 versus Exeter 2
This game had a lot
of good plays and pass-
es and if it wasn't for a
couple of really bad
bounces, we may still
be undefeated.
This was probably
the best game the team
played as a group.
Adam played net for
both halves. See you
next Thursday.
U13 Girls
On June 11 South
Huron's U13 Girls
played a tough game
against the Forest
Falcons losing 4-2.
However, the team
still put out a good
effort with Alexa
Sereda and Kelsey
Becker each scoring a
goal.
Special recognition
goes out to Meagan
McVeeney for her
many attempts at the
net along with Hannah
DeWeerd's dedication
to the play.
