'Take Five Ladies Day'
Weddings through the years —
The second annual Lucan Area
Heritage Take Five Ladies Day was
held at the Lucan Community
Memorial Centre June 7, featuring a
variety of speakers and entertainment.
Above and right, one of the highlights
of the day was a bridal fashion show,
celebrating"Wedding Memories from
the Past," presented by Marion
Kernighan. Featured were wedding
fashions from the 1880s until the
1970s.Above left are Kelsey Rummell,
Valerie Callcott, Danielle Froats and
Katlyn Malcolm, while at right is
Jacklyn McEwen.The day included
country balladeer Gary Boyle, door
prizes, spiritual healer Sheila Butchart,
Val Neil and Barb Coughlin with 'Fun
with Exercise,' Sole Heeling' with
Laurie Nevin, a talk on identity theft by
Gary Ford and entertainment by The
Satiniques.The event was a fundraiser
for the new Lucan museum. Numbers
weren't available as the Times -
Advocate went to press, although
Sheila Hodgins of Lucan Area Heritage
called the day "a great success" and
said about 300 people attended. Next
year's Take Five is slated for June 6.

Crime of the Month
HURON — Huron County Crime Stoppers and the Huron County OPP are
asking for help in solving two theft occurrences.
Sometime overnight on June 9-10, suspects stole four ATV tires and
rims from both Country Corners Rent -All on Main Street South in Exeter
and from Brian's Service Centre on London Road in Hensall.
Two of the tires from Exeter were Kenda Klaw 255/55/9.
In each instance, an ATV was jacked up while the theft occurred.
Each business estimates the value of the theft to exceed $800.
If you have any information regarding this crime call Crime Stoppers at
1 -800 -222 -TIPS (8477).
You will not have to reveal your name or go to court and you could be eli-
gible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
