Two killed in crashes
BLUEWATER — A 29 -year-old South Huron man and a 40 -
year -old Bluewater man died over the weekend in separate
vehicle collisions.
Stuart Bannister, 29, died June 14 after a two vehicle colli-
sion around 1:30 p.m. June 13.
The crash happened on Bluewater Highway at Blyth Road
(Cty Road 25), involving a utility van striking the rear of a
dump truck that was waiting to turn east onto Blyth Road.
The driver of the dump truck was not injured.
No charges are pending and the investigation continues.
On June 14, Kenneth Snazel, 40, died after the vehicle he
was driving left the roadway for unknown reasons and
struck a tree head on.
After the impact his vehicle caught on fire.
Snazel was travelling on the Zurich-Hensall Road around 3
a.m. He was the lone occupant in the vehicle.
The Hensall Fire Department assisted Huron OPP officers
at the scene.
Snazel was transported to the London Health Sciences
Centre in critical condition but he later succumbed to his
injuries.
Investigation after worker
injured at Exeter Produce
EXETER — The Huron OPP and the Ministry of Labour are
investigating Exeter Produce after a 45 -year-old seasonal
worker was crushed in an incident with a forklift.
On June 12 around 3:30 p.m., the worker received a non -life
threatening crushing injury.
He was taken to the London Health Sciences Centre.
Trail kiosk vandalized

was cut down off its posts and
pushed upside down into an adja-
cent field.
South Huron staff alerted police

dalized. The kiosk, situated behind
South Huron Rec Centre on the
MacNaughton Trail, was donated
