I just love it," says South Huron Trail Mobile rider Suzanne Northey, adding, "I'm taking it more and more. It's a nice breather away from everyone." The South Huron Trail Mobile was donated in the memory of conservationist Gordan Strang, who was instrumental in creating the MacNaughton Park to Morrison Dam walking trail. The Trail Mobile provides trail rides to individuals with physical mobility challenges, who otherwise wouldn't be able to enjoy the trail. Being called a one -of -a -kind opportunity, the Trail Mobile launched its third season June 4 at the MacNaughton Park Memorial Pavilion. Several people attended the launching of the Trail Mobile, with passengers coming from Exeter Villa and Friends of the Huron Trail volunteers. "It's a great trail," says driver Herman Steffens, adding, it's a great "chance to enjoy the trail." On the way home they stopped in Lucan for refreshments. On May 27, 23 members met at the home of president Ada Dinney for a social hour fol- lowed by a deli- cious lunch. During the after- noon Happy Birthday was sung to Elsie Herman and Pat Fletcher. It was announced during the business portion of the meeting that a donation of $2,700 from our chapter was made to the South Huron Hospital Foundation.
