Lucan licence office reopens
By Nina Van Lieshout
TIMES -ADVOCATE STAFF
LUCAN — The Lucan Driver
and Licence Issuing Office has
reopened on Main Street with a
new owner, McGillivray area
woman Louise O'Neil.
O'Neil says, "This is my first
business that I've taken on myself.
Sometimes it can be very busy,
but despite that, most people are
very patient."
O'Neil says with a background
in accounting, running the licenc-
ing office was something she
could easily fall into.
She also took in -class training
for a week before the opening,
and was then able to observe a
licence office opening in
Blenheim.
O'Neil says she's "enjoyed
working with the people" since
reopening.
The office, which reopened May
20 has also received some new
renovations, keeping the building
up to date with licencing stan-
dards. It is also wheelchair acces-
sible,
It is closed Tuesdays and
Sundays but is now open
Thursday evenings until 7 p.m.
