A prelude of music was played by Anna Keys on the piano and Shirley Hill on the organ. Willi Laurie wel- comed everyone from the five churches, Varna, Goshen, Kippen, Brucefield and Bayfield. The announcements were also given by Laurie. There were five Christ candles lit by the committee (Deb Rathwell, Ted Dunn, Linda Linfield, Ruby Lefaive and Dorothy McGregor) to represent the five churches. The call to worship was led by Don Brodie, gathering prayer was read by Ruby Lefaive. Ted Dunn read the words of assurance followed by the passing of the Peace. Time for the young at heart was by Willi Laurie. Willi had two things to share, one being a favourite book she used to sing to her kids at night. She spoke on "spring is the time of the year for new growth and new birth." The Scripture reading was read by Deb Rathwell. A reflection "The Hands of Faith" was presented by many readers. Deb Rathwell, Willi Laurie, Doug Wallace, Joyce Hummel, Leanne Colclough, Brent Townsend, Jacob Govier, Dave Cooper and Anna Keys. Willi Laurie shared her gift of music and sang First Family. Don Brodie introduced guest speaker Marc Robinet who spoke on Reaching Hands of Faith into Mexico. All offerings were going to Marc's mission "Children Of Hope" which happened to be a grand total of $580. Linda Linfield thanked Marc the guest speaker. Dorothy McGregor read the Prayers of the People and Helen Faber "We take our Faith Songs Into the World." Lunch and fellowship followed. Special thanks A thank you to all who have extended your hands of faith to help make the service a meaningful one. Thanks to the members of the committee, guest readers, ushers, collection takers, donors, greeters, guest speakers, musicians and to those who have helped prepare the communal lunch. In the living/dining area, a dramatic vaulted ceiling adds panache, while the gas fireplace will make these rooms a cosy retreat during the cooler months. An extra -deep window sill provides display space for plants or collectibles, or perhaps a window seat. The breakfast nook occupies a bayed -out area adjacent to the kitchen, which features an efficient U-shaped counter configuration. A window over the double sink will provide a garden view for the cook, who will also be pleased with the capacious walk-in pantry. A large sundeck, accessible from the nook, offers the perfect spot for summertime meals and relaxation. Entry to the home is on the ground floor, through a covered porch that leads into a compact foyer. Ahead and to the right is a coat closet, set at an angle to maximize space. To the left, the den is ideally located to double as a home office. The laundry room, also on the ground floor, enjoys access to the double garage. At the back of the ground floor is space for a future bedroom, together with a roughed in three-piece bathroom and a large unfinished space. Where local bylaws permit, the ground floor could become a mortgage -helper, an in-law suite or a bed and breakfast. A patio outdoors, covered by the sundeck above it, provides a spot for year-round barbecuing. Upstairs, the roomy master suite boasts an extra -deep window sill like that in the living room. The walk-in closet is large enough for the most fashion -conscious couple's clothing, and there's a three-piece ensuite. The second and third bedrooms are more or less equal in size, and share a three-piece bathroom with a skylight. Bedroom No. 3 includes a built-in desk, and the linen closet is just outside the door. Exterior finishes include shingles in the gables, horizontal siding, painted trim and cut -stone accents. The front entrance is flanked by pilasters. This home measures 42 feet wide and 40 feet, four inches deep, for a total of 1,224 square feet of living area.
