We started by introducing our- selves and then we discussed what we'd be doing throughout the year. They also told us about some 4 -I -I events going on during the year. Club elections were held: presi- dent -Jessie Walton; vice -president - Lauren Poppe; secretary-Zach Drost; club reporter -Shannon Ryan. This year our main theme is hous- ing. We will be discussing housing and what a good pig environment might be. Our next meeting is tentatively set for May 28 at 7:30 p.m. (location to be announced). Exeter celebrates literacy Literacy events — Exeter Public School and the Exeter Library cele- brated Education Week last week by holding events dedicated to litera- cy. Guelph -based illustrator Werner Zimmermann, who teaches at Seneca College, held a creative workshop with Exeter Public students at South Huron Rec Centre and also spoke at the Iibrary.Above, Curious George (played by Emily Hartman) also made a visit to the library, stop- ping for a photo with, from left Matthew Borland,Tyler Finch and Brianna Smith.At the Rec Centre, students were divided into groups and collaborated to develop their own story. When they arrived, the glass window on the north side of the clubhouse was smashed and the building had been entered and ransacked. Video surveillance shows two suspects entered the building. The first suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5'10" tall with a thin build. He was wearing a plaid vest with dark wind pants, a dark balaclava and light- coloured gloves. The second suspect is also described as a white male, approximately 5'7" tall with a stocky build. He was wearing a camouflage jacket, dark pants, a dark ski mask and dark gloves.
