The second floor, which is entirely devoted to the master suite, ensures the owners' privacy, while the main floor offers plenty of room for family activities and entertaining. A covered entry provides protection from rain and snow, as well as shade on warmer days, and leads into a double -height foyer that contains a corner display shelf, as well as a convenient coat cupboard. Double -height ceilings add elan to both the great room and the dining room. The great room's fireplace will provide a focal point during the cooler months, and the dining room's french doors, which open onto stairs leading to the back garden, will encourage al fresco meals and outdoor relaxation during the summer. Plenty of natural light will flow through windows on all sides. A raised eating bar separates the kitchen from the dining room, allowing a busy cook to keep in touch with activities elsewhere. The kitchen's U-shaped counter configuration promises efficiency, and the generous pantry ensures plenty of storage space. Also on the main floor are a mud room with a handy bench and a covered entry, as well as closets for linen and cleaning tools. Close to the second bedroom, which could double as a den, is a three-piece bathroom. Upstairs, a sloping ceiling lends the master bedroom a touch of rustic charm.
