Also arrested was a 19 -year-old Exeter woman who faces two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of breach undertaking as she was on release from prior charges and awaiting her court date. Shoplifter uses 11 -year- old as lookout LAMBTON SHORES — Lambton OPP report that they have charged a 39 -year-old Grand Bend woman with two counts of theft and possession of a controlled sub- stance after she was arrested at a Northville Variety store. It is alleged that the suspect, along with a second adult female was involved in a theft in March where several items of clothing were stolen. At that time, the suspect was unknown, but video evidence was obtained. On April 12, the same woman, accompanied by her 11 -year-old son, was observed by staff entering the store. It is alleged that while her child watched for store staff, the woman concealed jewelry items in her pocket. Upon her leaving the store and entering her vehicle, she was met by police who had been notified. Found in her possession was the alleged stolen property. A subse- quent search revealed a small quantity of suspect methamphetamine. To protect the identity of the 11 -year-old, police have not identified the suspect. She will appear in Sarnia Court May 26. The Children's Aid Society has also been notified to investigate.
