Once again volunteers provide
wonderful music at Queensway
HENSALL — Lori Burt, regis-
tered massage therapist brought
her soothing touch to several
residents throughout the day
Monday. In the morning resi-
dents gathered for their regular
fun and fitness group. During the
afternoon the Presbyterian
women supplied assistance and
prizes for the bingo games.
Breakfast group met Tuesday
morning over pancakes and
more of the fresh maple syrup
mentioned last week.
The 11 a.m. church service
was interactive; with residents
responding to quiz Bible ques-
tions, a devotional and hymn
sing led by program staff. In the
evening residents enjoyed gospel
music by the Lakeview Singers.
During the recent beautiful
sunny weather several residents
have benefited from spending
time outdoors. The group of
ladies who gather for their knit-
ting group once a week were
pleased to meet outdoors on the
deck to work at their favourite
pastime.
Baking group met Thursday
afternoon to mix up a batch of
Oatmeal cookies to which they
added raisins, chocolate chips
and skor bar chipits. It was diffi-
cult to keep the taste testing lim-
ited to just a couple of cookies
each.
In the evening "Lil Audrey"
wowed the crowd as usual with
her amazing one woman show
when she entertained for the
April birthday party.
Resident council met Friday
morning following the exercise
program to discuss upcoming
events and offer suggestions for
future programs.
When the scheduled entertain-
ment for Sunday afternoon was
unable to come, Jim and Elaine
Scott of Goderich provided a
wonderful afternoon of singing
while accompanying themselves
on piano and banjo.
Throughout the week baking
group, outdoor walks, puzzle
pals, tuck/library cart and visita-
tion kept residents as busy as
they wanted to be.
