Leanne Taylor, Bryanna Haist, Marika Buckridge, Marissa Buckridge (goalie). This
team was made up of girls ranging from grade 2 through grade 5 and for a lot of
them it was a first year of playing hockey and a couple had not skated in several
years. The first month saw our team badly outmatched in most of our games but
the girls persevered and tried to stay positive and have fun as well as getting to
know the other girls on the team, new friendships were forged at and away from
the rink. The hard work started to pay off and teams that were once beating us
badly began to take notice as the games were much closer. Indeed the girls were
learning how to play this game. As the season progressed so did the confidence
and the desire to win.The end of the year saw us compile an overall record of
six wins 20 losses and six ties. Statistically not a mark for the record books but
anyone who had seen us back in late September must admit that this was an
accomplishment we can all be proud of. On a final note it was great to see that
the older girls on the team never got frustrated with our younger players when
they were overmatched by older and stronger players, instead they offered
encouragement and shared in the celebration as many of our seven year old girls
scored their first goals. Have a great summer girls! (PHOTO/SNAP SHOT PHOTOGRAPHY)

Dalrymple Front (left — right) Nicole Brideau, Cassy Northover. This year, the girls had
to work incredibly hard since moving up to the 'B' Division.Their hard work paid off with
a third place finish in a tough division for their regular season. The provincial playoffs
proved to be an even harder battle that each girl decided they wanted to win. After
defeating Stratford,Walkerton and Kincardine the team qualified for the provincial tour-
nament, which is never an easy feat. The Provincial Tournament took place in Toronto
April I I-13.The girls had a great weekend in Toronto tying a strong Oakville team I - I
and then playing to a 0-0 tie against Cornwall (one of their best games of the entire sea-
son). The third game proved to be the last with a disappointing lost to Sudbury 3-1.
Moving up to the 'B' Division and facing such large centres was a big challenge, but with
their hard work and determination these girls proved to be tough competition, making
this season a great achievement. The coaching staff is very proud of this great bunch of
hard working young women! (PHOTO/SNAP SHOT PHOTOGRAPHY)
