Comments: Great game
to finish the season team!
The passing, skating and
working together as a
team has come so far.
Carter McLlwain, Luke
Andrews, James Boyle and
Dylan Kints cleaned up
with their goals and
assists. Justin Godwin has
been doing an incredible
job in net for us and once
again has shown us his
natural ability shutting
down many scoring oppor-
tunities. Congratulations
team on a fantastic year!

Note: South Huron
played from behind the
whole game, trading goals
back and forth for three
periods. Jarrett Baker tied
the game with four min-
utes to go in the third.
Matthew Hern made some
fantastic saves to preserve
the tie and send it to over-
time. 53 seconds into OT
Drew Horner battled
in the corner and
made a perfect pass to
Jakob Partridge stand-
ing at the corner of
the net who netted his
second goal of the
game for the win.

March 30 game six
SH 2 versus West Lorne
0
Goals: Jarrett Baker,
Lucas Kaumanns
Assists: Baker, Jakob
Partridge, Drew Horner,
Cameron Hanson
Notes: West Lorne, hav-
ing scored 17 goals in five
games were shut down by
a South Huron team that
came into this game on a
mission. Not only shutting
down the big scorers but
holding them to only two
or three real scoring
chances, the defense core
of Cameron Hanson, Brett
Reid, Chad Crawford and
Charlie Tait were a force.
Matthew Hern once again
rose to the challenge and
made several big glove
saves, as well as a kick
save with 20 seconds
remaining to preserve the
shutout. The little bulldog
line of Baker, Partridge
and Horner started the
scoring by crashing the
net and then two minutes
into the second Baker
made a beautiful pass
across the crease to
Lucas Kaumanns who
one -timed a shot past
the West Lorne goalie
for his first of the
series.

Peewees win WOAA 'E'
ZURICH — The
Zurich Pee Wee
team captured the
W.O.A.A. 'E' divi-
sion title on March
24 against Clifford.
The win capped
the season for the
local players. Zurich
met Clifford for the
championship game
after coming first in
their 'E' division,
and defeating
Tiverton in the sec-
ond round three
games to one to
advance.
In regular season
play, Zurich notched
seven wins and four
losses.
On March 24 in
Harriston, the Pee
Wees thundered out
scoring two quick
goals after Clifford
scored first.
Drew Wood and
Mitch Dietrich each
powered the puck
behind the goal -
tender unassisted to
put Zurich ahead 2-
1.
With one second
remaining in the
first period, Clifford
evened the score.
Wood put the
Thunder ahead,
assisted by Josh
King halfway
through the second
period.
With 29 seconds
remaining in the
period, Wood com-
pleted his hat trick
assisted again by
King, moving the
Pee Wees ahead 4-
2.
Zurich then fin-
ished the period
with two players in
the penalty box.
Clifford capitalized
with the two-man
advance by scoring
two quick goals to
start the third peri-
od.
The Thunder pow-
ered back and went
ahead 5-4 on a shot
by Mathew Webster
with Steven Thiel
providing interfer-
ence in front of the
net with five min-
utes remaining in
the game.
Clifford did not let
up and goaltender
Brett McAllister
shut the door on
further scoring.
The local squad
saw solid defence by
King, Webster,
Michael Beierling
and Dylan Steckle
throughout the
game with offensive
players Wood,
Dietrich, Kyle
Ryckman, Quinton
Bedard, Will Earle,
Brett LaPorte, Clare
Masse, Matt
McAllister, Kurtis
Denomme and Thiel
moving the puck up
and keeping the
pressure on.
Congratulations to
the team on the
winning finish to the
season.
EVERYONE IS A WINNER!
