Summary
Tuesday
Fed steers and heifers sold $1 lower. Choice steers
and heifers sold 83 - 86 with sales to 93.25. Second
cut sold 79 - 83. Cows sold on a strong active trade.
Thursday
Veal sold on a steady trade. Lambs sold on a
strong active trade Sheep sold steady and goats sold
slightly lower/less demand.
Friday
Calves and yearlings sold steady.
Steers
There were 400 steers on offer.
Emerson L. Martin of Linwood consigned seven
steers averaging 1399 lbs. selling for an average of
86.94 with two limo steers averaging 1390 lbs. sell-
ing to Holly Park Meat Packers for 89.
Ken Koch of Petersburg consigned one red steer
weighing 1235 lbs. selling for 87.
John Wiersma of Blyth consigned six steers averag-
ing 1493 lbs. selling for an average of 83.51, with
two limo steers averaging 1495 lbs. selling to
Dominion Meat Packers for 87.
Art Bos of Blyth consigned two steers averaging
1473 lbs. selling for an average of 85.38 with one
limo steer weighing 1500 lbs. selling for 86.25.

good demand at slightly
lower prices on the good
fed cattle due to the
strengthening dollar. With
the fancy high yielding cat-
tle in good demand at
steady prices, cows and
bulls traded sharply higher.
A good run of holstein bull
calves sold steady accord-
ing to quality.
