Driver fails
breath test
SOUTH HURON — On March 15
Huron OPP officers initiated a traffic
stop on Crediton Road in South
Huron. While speaking to a driver,
officers determined that he had
been consuming alcohol. A demand
was made for the driver to provide a
breath sample into the Roadside
Alcotest. The resultant reading was
fail. The driver was then arrested
and transported to the Exeter
Detachment where he provided two
more samples of his breath to a
qualified breathalyzer technician. It
was then confirmed that the driver
had over the legal limit of 80 mil-
ligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres
of blood in the system. As a result, a
47 -year-old man of South Huron has
been charged with one count of dri-
ving with over 80 milligrams of alco-
hol. He will appear in Exeter Court
June 26. In addition, the drivers'
license was suspended for 90 days.
