What a way to finish off. Players of the game went to Rebecca Glavin and Jesilyn Butler. The South Huron Boys Rep team recently competed in the Goderich Lions Young Canada Week Tournament. After winning three games in a row, they came out fighting for the C Division Final only to come out 2 goals short. We are very proud of the boys as our overall season record was not great, they still were able to be runners up in the Bill Batten Tournament, Legion Regional, and now the Young Canada. "It's tough," says Andrews, adding, although, "we do have a pretty loyal group of sup- porters," the stands are empty often. "It's tough being in such close prox- imity to London." Andrews says he would be pleased to see a larger crowd in the stands sup- porting the team. This year the Jets won 17 out of 26 games, for 36 points. However, the Jets lost against the Elora Rocks during the first round of the playoffs, their third straight playoff loss to the Rocks over the past three years. But Andrews says the Jets won't let the loss bring them down, adding "we placed third on the south side out of 10 teams." Andrews is hoping the league makes a few changes, explaining that "hopefully they'll be reconsidering their playoff grouping," adding, it doesn't make a lot of sense for Lucan to play Elora in the playoffs, as the Jets didn't play the Rocks all season. Andrews says playing another team on the south side would be better because then "you "build up the rivalry," explain- ing, "you lose that as soon as you get to the playoffs." Next season Andrews says "There will be big changes on our team. There will be a lot of new, young faces in our line- up" Andrews says the team is getting pumped for next season, adding he hopes to see more people in the stands. "This is probably the best hockey in the area," he said. "To have a competitive team for four years is quite an accomplishment."
