Zurich splits first two games
ZURICH — The
Zurich Bantams
started their OMHA
all -Ontario final
series versus Ops, a
team from the
Peterborough area,
over the weekend
with each team win-
ning a game.
In game one on
Saturday Zurich
started off strong get-
ting on the score-
board early with
goals by Colton
Becker and captain
Nick LaPorte.
With time counting
down in the third,
Ops made a last ditch
effort to put one past
the goaltender and
scored to put them
on the gamesheet.
With only seconds
left in the third they
again got one past
Zurich to even the
game at two and
send the game to a
sudden death over-
time period.
Momentum had
shifted in the home
team's favour and
after a scramble in
front of Zurich's net
the puck ended up in
the back of the net, a
heart breaking end
to a good game.
Sunday's game
