The bus was an Ayr coming from Waterloo and the dri-
ver was David.
We left Exeter Legion at 9 a.m. We travelled to Lucan
and picked up more people. As we travelled along
Harry Hardy our host told us history about all the little
places between Exeter and Lucan that used to be.
We picked up more people from Craigwiel Gardens.
We had brunch consisting of pancakes, sausage, baked
beans, coleslaw, fruit cup, muffins and beverages which
was very delicious. Brunch was at Fort Rose Farm near
Ailsa Craig. It is run by three brothers namely, Nelson,
Colin and Lawrence McLachlan. Their father has
retired. Nelson got on the bus and told us they tap 7,000
trees and run 3,000 acres of land.
As we left to go to Sarnia we passed a barn that had
1833 on it. Harry Hardy read humorous stories to us.
We arrived at the Imperial Theatre where everyone
enjoyed the musical production "Stepping Out". We
stopped for supper on the way home.
Thanks very much Harry and Jean Hardy and our bus
driver David.
