Yearlings sell barely steady at Brussels

Total Receipts,
2293 head of cattle, 274 lambs and goats
Summary
Tuesday
Fed steers and heifers sold on an active trade, prices
$1 - $2 higher. Choice steers and heifers sold 79 - 82
with sales to 87.25. Second cut sold 75 - 78. Cows sold
steady.
Thursday
Veal sold sharply lower. Lambs sold lower, while
sheep sold on a steady trade. Goats were too few to
establish.
Friday
Calves sold on a strong market, while yearlings sold
barely steady.
Steers
There were 422 steers on offer.
Marvara Farms of Drayton consigned seven steers
averaging 1454 lbs. selling for an average of 83.06
with one blk steers weighing 1330 lbs. selling for
84.75.
Brockwood Farms of Centralia consigned 42 steers
averaging 1473 lbs. selling for an average of 82.19
with three blk steers averaging 1428 lbs. selling for
84.50.
Donald Fischer of Brussels consigned nine steers
averaging 1523 lbs. selling for an average of 80 with
one gold steer weighing 1440 lbs. selling for 84.25.
Robin McKnight of Exeter consigned one char steer
weighing 1425 lbs. selling to Holly Park Meat Packers
for 83.50.
John Wiersma of Blyth consigned six steers averag-
ing 1398 lbs. selling for an average of 81.81 with two
gold steers averaging 1403 lbs. selling to Holly Park
Meat Packers for 83.50.
Eli Brubacher of Listowel consigned nine steers aver-
aging 1441 lbs. selling for an average of 82.80 with
one gold steer weighing 1365 lbs. selling for 83.25.

steers averaging 1506 lbs. selling for an average of
81.58 with four blk steers averaging 1483 lbs. selling
for 83.10.

There were 351 heifers on offer.

1351 lbs. selling for an average of 83.10 with one gold
heifer weighing 1350 lbs. selling to Norwich Packers
for 86.
Darren Johnston of Bluevale consigned 24 heifers
averaging 1404 lbs. selling for an average of 83.36
with two char heifers averaging 1308 lbs. selling for
84.60.
Eckhard Kamradt of Mitchell consigned 12 heifers
averaging 1339 lbs. selling for an average of 82.68
with one limo heifer weighing 1405 lbs. selling to
Norwich Packers for 84.25.
