A new free service is
available that easily links
the Canada food guide to
the grocery shopping list
and includes extra fea-
tures.
• Custom prints for the
recommended number of
food guide serving for the
entire family or group of
people on a single sheet
of paper.
• Shows the amount
required from each food
group for the entire fami-
ly for a given period e.g.
weekly or monthly.
• Totals up the number
of food guide servings as
items are added to the
grocery -shopping list and
compares with what the
family needs for the peri-
od.
• Any family member
or authorized person
(spouse, partner, child,
etc. ) can add items to the
shopping list from home,
office school, train, sub-
way or on the bus.
• The shopping list can
be printed or opened at
the store from a web -
enabled cell phone and
items checked off as they
are picked.
• Print to use while
preparing meals. It
shows how much to
include from each of the
four food groups.
• Use it as a reference
while sharing food at the
table, i.e. what portion
from the four food groups
each member would take,
in other words how to fill
up the plate.
• The service is avail-
able at
