"Your one stop steel stop" Every RSP has room for some unexpected growth potential. Financials GIC Plus Historical 5 year compound annual return. For illustrative purposes only. TD Canada Trust Market Growth GICs. With a Market Growth GIC from TD Canada Trust, you can feel secure knowing your principal is protected. You might also see some unexpected growth too. That's because, unlike other GICs, Market Growth GIC returns are linked to the performance of stock market indices, so you have the potential for higher returns. Consider our Financials GIC Plus which lets you benefit from the growth potential of the Canadian financial sector through returns based on the performance of the S&P/TSX Banks Index. For example, if you had invested in such a GIC on October 31, 2002, at maturity on October 31, 2007, you would have earned a remarkable 11.8% compound annual return. If the index had declined or remained unchanged over this period, you would have received no return, but your original investment would still have been secure. If you want an RSP investment that has the potential for some unexpected growth, contact a representative at TD Canada Trust by February 29, 2008. Our next meeting is Feb. 21 and a guest speaker, Colin Haskett will be speaking on, "Funeral Arranging". Did you know that the Federated Women's Institute of Ontario Erland Lee (museum) Home acquired the E. D. Smith collection last year. The artifacts have been cata- logued and an exhibit created. The exhibit features items and pictures of the E. D. Smith family, notably Christina Smith who was the president of the First Women's Institute in 1897. If you are interested in knowing about the work of the Grand Bend W.I. please contact Cass Lovie, president at 238-2727. Invest in your RSP when it's convenient for you. We're open 8 'til late, 6 days straight. 1. The amount of the return, if any, on the Financials GIC Plus depends upon the change in the S&P/TSX Banks Index over the term of the GIC. The maximum return is capped at 75% for a five-year term and 35% far a three-year term. The maximum return is subject to change at any fime but such return for a specific GIC purchase is fixed on the date of purchase. The total percentage change in the index from October 31, 2002 to October 31, 2007, which would have been applicable to such a product, was 117%. Because the maximum return on the GIC is capped at 75%, the actual return would have been 75%. The return is equivalent to an annual compound rate of 11.8% over this period. For the period of April 13, 1998 to April 13, 2001, the total percentage change in the S&P/TSX Banks Index, which would have been applicable to such a product, was -5%; consequently, such a GIC purchased and held over that period would have yielded no return. The principal amount of the Financials GIC Plus will be repaid in full at maturity. The minimum principal amount is $1,000 for non -registered accounts and $500 for registered accounts. The product is not redeemable prior to maturity. A disclosure statement with complete details of the features of the Financials GIC Plus is available at your TD Canada Trust branch. The Financials GIC Plus is not sponsored, endorsed, sold or promoted by Standard & Poor's or the Toronto Stock Exchange, and neither makes any representation, warranty or condition regarding the advisability of investing in this product.
