The clear crisp weather with just a light snow falling was enough to get everyone into the Christmas spirit. Retirement residents were excited to create a Christmas greeting for the local cable T.V. channel. There were lots of laughs while taping the clip. Residents were also busy doing a Christmas arrange- ment using boughs, berries and pine cones under the tutelage of staff member Linda Bedard. The fresh smell of pine brought the scent of Christmas into the home. Marilyn Hern had residents busy as well making truffles rolled in cocoa, sugar or coconut. Several ladies enjoyed lunching at the Hensall Dining for Seniors Thursday where they caught up on news with old friends. Bea Richardson was the door prize whiner of a beautiful poinsettia. Queensway residents, families and staff participating in the recent food drive for the Christmas Bureau, were pleased to make a monetary donation and donate three bags of groceries. We are mindful of the fact that many are not as fortunate as we are during this season of giv- ing. The Christian Reform Singers including many youth from the church gave a wonderful Christmas program Tuesday evening with singing, bells and solos followed by a time of visiting and refreshments with residents. Residents also benefited from their regular programs throughout the week including exercises, music thera- py, massage therapy, manicures, church, and euchre.
