The Merrymakers provid-
ed their usual great musi-
cal entertainment for the
November birthday party
Fri., Nov. 23. Keith
Tyndall played the drums,
Gladys alternated between
piano and accordion with
George Turner as soloist.
The birthday party is nor-
mally the fourth Thursday
of each month but with
the dire weather predic-
tions Thursday morning
on the radio we decided to
reschedule for Friday
afternoon.
Fun and Fitness started
the week for residents
Monday morning with a
full range of motion work-
out, followed by quizzes
and games designed to
stimulate mental function.
In the afternoon the
women of Exeter Bethel
Reform Church provided
assistance with the bingo
games and then had a
hymn sing. Registered
Massage Therapist Lori
Burt was in Monday as
well bringing her soothing
skills to several apprecia-
tive residents.
Breakfast group met
Tuesday morning over a
delicious meal of fruit,
eggs made to order,
sausage, raisin toast,
juice, coffee and tea.
Residents enjoyed visiting
with others that they don't
normally dine with. In the
afternoon the church ser-
vice was led by Shirley
Luther of the Salvation
Army with her husband
Eric as volunteer pianist.
Auxiliary volunteer,
Donna Smale organized
the euchre players
Wednesday afternoon and
residents also benefited
from friendly visiting.
The Thursday morning
coffee and current events
group drew residents who
enjoy perusing the weekly
and daily papers and voic-
ing their opinions on items
in the news. In the after-
noon one - to - one pro-
grams included reading,
visits and manicures.
Everyone is looking for-
ward to the Christmas
Light Tours coming up in
December.
