Lions Club hosts turkey bingo tonight at the complex
By Carmel Sweeney
ZURICH CORRESPONDENT
ZURICH - It was a nice clear night on Sun., Nov. 18 for
the lighting of the Memorial Angel Tree at the Bluewater
Rest Home. A good attendance participated in this first
annual event.
Pastor Ann Krueger and Ron Heimrich led the service
and called out 100 names who will be remembered on
the Christmas tree on the front lawn of the home being
lit up until Jan. 6.
St. Boniface Children's Choir sang and those partici-
pating carried candles and placed them around the tree
afterwards.
Mark it down and plan to attend the 8th annual lighted
Christmas parade that will be held in Zurich on Sun.,
Dec. 2. The parade begins at 6 p.m. and anyone wanti-
ng to be in the parade are to call Vicky Wilder 236-5344
for an entry form as soon as possible.

David and Tracy Regier along with his sister Eileen

and enjoyed going to all the shows.
Claire and Margaret Deichert and Ed and Dorothy

who enjoyed going on a bus trip for 10 days recently
going to Nashville and Branson through Ellison Travels
in Exeter.
It's nice to see Josie Denomme back again to her
apartment at the Maple Woods after being in the hospi-
tal for the past five weeks. Her son Stephen Denomme
is presently here for three weeks from Abbotsford, B.C.
to help his mother.
Congratulations to Arnold and Coby VanDen Boomen

anniversary on Nov. 16 with a special Mass for their
intentions at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church with all
their family, relatives and friends attending. Followed
by a dinner in their parish hall for invited guests.
The VanDen Boomen's were also the first couple to be
married at this same church when it was built 50 years
ago. Relatives from Holland came to help them cele-
brate and visit with family members.
Matthew and Stephanie Lansbergen of Ottawa and
their son Oscar Ross born March 21 spent the weekend
recently with his parents Tony and Jane Lansbergen
and family.
The baby's baptism was held at St. Boniface Church
while they were here in November.
The Golden Agers will be having their next card party
at the town hall on Mon., Nov. 26th at 7:30 p.m. Cost is

Once again the annual pork supper with all the trim-

hall was a great success with a sell-out crowd.
Afterwards everyone enjoyed some musical entertain-
ment from various groups.
