President was in charge for the busi- ness meeting. The roll call was "Have you ever had first aid training? If so, how long ago?" There were nine members who answered �q,r this question. Anne Cottel report- ed on the board meet- ing. 2008 events Upcoming dates to remember for 2008 are District Annual May 15, April 1 board meeting at Fern Dougall's, District pic- nic July 8, Tweedsmuir History Aug. 5, Rally Oct. 6 and London area convention in Shedden Oct. 7. Members voted to contribute to the FWIO Summer Book. Please bring at least two recipes or articles to the Dec. 19 meeting at the Credtion Hall. Guest speaker for the evening was Kendra Craig. Her topic was first aid. She explained the proper use of a sling. She told of the kinds of wraps needed and the many uses it can be used for in emergencies. She talked about nose bleeds and heart attacks (signs and symptoms) CPR, and when to call the 0 M ambulance. Mere a ssowere also1reminded i{to apply ice for the first 48 hours for a sprain or strain and to use crutches if neces- sary to take the weight off the area. A good rule of thumb is rest, ice, compression and elevation. Kendra answered many questions and was thanked by Cheryl MacLeod. The next meeting is a pot luck supper on Dec. 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Crediton Hall with hus- bands or friends invit- ed. Sharing their musical talents were Joyce Pepper, Dorothy Taylor, soloist Amanda Meinen, and the choir of Pat Pollock, Bev Moir, Marg Baker, Marilyn Campbell, Lola Nixon, and Marg Varley. There was a special time for children when they visited with Rev. Andy about this special day. The sermon was "Remember". The offering was received by Harry Moir, Frank Varley, and Robert Bell. Rev.
