Halloween party -A Centralia Halloween Party was held at the hall

Remembrance ceremonies in Granton

GRANTON CORRESPONDENT
GRANTON - The 150th anniver-
sary celebration of the Anglican
Diocese of Huron was held at the
John Labatt Centre in London on
Sunday afternoon, Oct. 28. Several
from St. Paul's Anglican Church in
Kirkton attended the service of
rejoicing together in Christ.
The annual turkey supper spon-
sored by Holy Trinity Anglican
Church was held at the Lucan
Community Centre on Wed., Oct.
24 and was well attended.
The annual beef supper spon-
sored by Granton -Wesley United
Church at the Kirkton-Woodham
Community Centre was very suc-
cessful and well attended on Sun.,
Nov. 4.
At Granton -Wesley United
Church on Sun., Nov. 4, Pastor
Paul Vollick led the service and the
message was entitled `Practice
what you preach.' The scripture
readings were from Luke 19 and
second Thessalonians 1. Verna
Mills lit the Christ candle. The
ministry of music by the choir was
`Welcome Jesus, you are wel-
come.' Some time was shared with
the young people of the congrega-
tion.
Sun., Nov. 11, Remembrance
Day ceremonies will be held at the
Granton cenotaph at 12:30 p.m.
At St. Paul's Anglican Church in
Kirkton on all saints day, Nov. 4,
Rev. Dalice Sim celebrated the
holy eucharist. The message was
about doing to others as you would

Herbert, given by his wife Carol. A
time of fellowship followed the ser-

Parkwood Hospital, London, for
several weeks and has taken up
residence at Kingsway Nursing
Home, St. Marys, as of Tuesday of
last week.
