From Nov. 17 - 24, the libraries will accept non- perishable food items in place of cash for overdue library fines. This project is offered through the Huron County Library in partnership with the Huron County Health Unit and local food banks. "This is a popular initia- tive among Ontario's pub- lic libraries. In 2006, 623 people donated 927 items through public libraries in Huron County, clearing their records and their consciences at the same time, and everybody ben- efited from the project," said county librarian Beth Ross. "It gives library users the opportunity to clear their record, return over- due materials, and sup- port the food banks serv- ing their communities. Fines for items will be waived on a one to one ratio; it's simply one item of food for each book overdue." boy. A brother for Tristen, Maggie and Kristopher. The Sepers live at the West end of Varna.
