(photo/Nina Van Lieshout) October Exeter court EXETER — Before Justice R.G. Hunter in Exeter Court Oct. 25, Adam D. Bourassa of Goderich pleaded guilty to a charge of over 80 mg. stemming from an incident Dec. 14. Bourassa was southbound on Airport Line when he was stopped at a R.I.D.E on Dashwood Road. After the odor of alcohol was noticed by police, Bourassa was arrested and provided samples of 110 and 100 mg. He was fined $750 and given a 12 -month driving suspension. Careless Scott Campbell of Hensall pleaded guilty to a charge of careless driving stemming from an incident Feb. 17. Campbell was southbound on London Road when he attempted to make a turn in Hensall. Campbell lost control and struck another vehicle. After stopping to ren- der assistance, Campbell left the scene but was apprehended by police a short time later. Campbell was given a $500 fme and a 90 -day driving suspension. Charges of failure to comply with conditions as well as ability impaired and over 80 mg. were dismissed. Theft Jacob Goode of Londesborough pleaded guilty to a charge of theft under $5,000. Goode was charged after shoplifting several items from Unusual Finds in Exeter. Good was given a conditional discharge, placed on probation for 12 months and given 25 hours community service. Frederick R. Trott of St. Marys pleaded guilty to a charge of theft under $5,000 resulting from an incident at Hansen's Independent Grocer in Exeter July 17. Trott was seen removing the packaging from several steaks and "secreting them," before being apprehended. lIe was given a suspended sentence and placed on probation for 12 months. Possession Bryan W. Parker of Hensall pleaded guilty to a charge of possession for the purchase of traf- ficking. The charge stemmed from a search warrant executed by police in Exeter April 4 where sev- eral bags of marijuana were found. A further charge of failure to comply with conditions resulted from police being called to Gars Bar and Grill May 17 in response to Parker being drunk and involved in fight. Parker was given 90 days to be served inter- mittently on the trafficking charge and a $250 fme on the failure to comply charge. A further charge of possession of a substance was withdrawn. Matthew Raith of Kitchener pleaded guilty to a charge of pos- session of a substance resulting from an incident Aug. 31. Raith was stopped at a R.I.D.E north of Grand Bend when a small bag was observed which was found to contain marijuana. Raith was given a condition discharge. Break and enter Michael R. Crete of Grand Bend pleaded guilty to a charge of break and enter stemming from an incident March 18 at a residence in Exeter. Court was told by the Crown that the homeown- er heard their ATV run- ning at 2:05 a.m. and observed Crete on the machine in the garage. Crete shut the machine off and attempted to flee but was captured and held by the homeowner for police. Crete was given a $500 fine and 12 months proba- tion.
