LUNDY - Lynda (nee Shipley)
passed away on the 16th day of
October, 2007, at the age of 43,
after a three year battle with
colon cancer that she fought with
grace, dignity and courage and a
sense of humour, even through
the toughest times and adversity.
By any measure, Lyn's life was a
success. She was a much loved
daughter and sister, an adored
wife, a loving mother and faith-
ful friend to all who were privi-
leged to know her well. Family
was always the highest of Lyn's
priorities. She married the love
of her life, Jonathan Lundy, on
July 13, 1991 and together start-
ed a family. She deeply loved
her children, Joshua, age 14 and
Natasha, age 11, was closely
involved in every phase of their
lives and treasured every
moment they spent together.
Lyn enjoyed volunteering at
school, watching her children at
hockey arenas and in dance stu-
dios, gardening and running the
trails of Oakville with her
beloved dog, Sam. Lyn dealt
with her illness the way she went
through life, with courage, deter-
mination and a sense of humour
and with the devotion, love and
support of family and friends.
She will always be remembered
as a wife, mother, sister, daugh-
ter and friend, who loved us,
gave us strength, enriched our
lives and in the midst of a terrible
illness, taught us to enjoy every
day and live life to the fullest.
Our world and lives are much
diminished without Lyn here
with us and she will go on in our
hearts forever. Lyn will be
remembered and missed by her
husband, Jonathan Lundy; son,
Joshua; daughter, Natasha; moth-
er, Betty Shipley; father, Bruce
Shipley and wife Effie; sister,
Alexis Peters (Debra Shipley);
brother, Bruce Shipley and wife
Jill; brother, Doug Shipley and
wife Lisa; parents-in-law,
Howard and Rena Lundy; broth-
er-in-law, Andrew Lundy and
wife Heidi; many cousins, nieces
and nephews and numerous
other family and friends. The
family would like to acknowl-
edge and thank family and
friends for the outpouring of
love, warmth, care and support
provided over the past three
years. The compassion and pro-
fessionalism shown by the doc-
tors, nurses, and staff at the
Credit Valley Hospital are also
appreciated by Lyn and her fami-
ly. Visitation was held at the
Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel and
Reception Centre, Oakville 905-
257-8822 where the funeral ser-
vice was held on October 20,
2007. Donations, in memory of
Lyn, may be made to Colorectal

CLARKE - In loving memory of
a dear son, brother, brother-in-
law, uncle and great-uncle; Don
(Duck) who passed away 5 years
ago October 22, 2002.
October comes with sad regret
The day we will never forget
God took your hand and we had
to part
He eased your pain and broke
our hearts.
Memories of you will never die.

ly. (43x)
DIETRICH, LORNE - In loving
memory of a dear husband,
father, grandfather and great-
grandfather who passed away on
October 28, 1982.
A heart of gold stopped beating.
Two shining eyes at rest
God broke our hearts to prove,
He only takes the best.
God knows you had to leave us,
But you did not go alone
For part of us went with you,
The day He took you home.
To some you are forgotten,
To others just part of the past,
But to us who loved and lost
you,
The memory will always last.
Thinking of you always and
sadly missed by wife Mary,
Theresa & Bob, John & Sandra,
Earl & Annie, Helen & Rene,
Jim & Linda, Marlene & Bill,
Linda & Bill, Carol & Dave and
their families. (43*)

memory of a dear father and
grandfather who passed away 5
years ago October 25th.

place.
A happy home we once enjoyed
How sweet the memory still -
But death has left a loneliness
The world can never fill.
Missed and loved by Jeff, Abby,
Brandan, Craig. (43*)
