Irish win two
LUCAN - The Lucan
Irish won two of their
three games last week as
they wrapped a 3-2 win
over North Middlesex and
a 7-4 decision against
Mitchell around a 5-3 loss
to Lambeth.
The action gives the Irish
a 5-4-0 record and 10
points. The Mt. Brydges
Bulldogs lead the confer-
ence and league with 18
points after a 9-1-0 start.
Mitchell visited Lucan
Oct. 17 and the Irish took
a 3-0 lead in the first peri-
od on goals from Kevin
Dean, Justin Lightfoot and
Dustin McTaggart.
The teams traded five
goals in the second period
as Lucan added three
from Trevor Liddle, Tyler
Medd and Thomas Henry
for a 6-2 lead going into
the third period.
Drew Henry put the Irish
ahead 7-2 early in the
third and despite two
more goals late in the
third period from Mitchell,
Lucan hung on for the
win.
Lucan was in Lambeth
Friday night and took an
early 1-0 lead in the first
on a goal from Medd.
The Lancers took over in
the second firing four
goals with Nick Engel
replying for Lucan.
Henry cut the lead to 4-3
for Lambeth early in the
third but an empty net
goal in the last minute
sealed the win for
Lambeth.
Lucan was in North
Middlesex Saturday night
and the Stars took a 1-0
lead in the first period
before Henry tied it in the
second. The Stars took the
lead again before the peri-
od was over but goals
from Ryan Clarke and
Henry with his second put
Lucan ahead to stay for
the 3-2 win.
Lucan has one game this
week when they host
Exeter tonight
(Wednesday) at 7:45 p.m.
