Working closely in a team environment, the Network &
Security Architect will protect and ensure the
accessibility, stability, integrity, optimization, and
security of all County of Huron network and
information systems. This includes developing,
maintaining, supporting, and optimizing corporate
network infrastructures, server infrastructures,
information security mechanisms, data and
telecommunication systems. This person will also
determine asset replacement cycles and standard

Job Summary:
Responsible for regular beat coverage including police, police board,
court; fire department, hospital board, municipal council, breaking news
stories, and features, as assigned. Must be motivated to initiate and sug-
gest stories on a variety of topics. Knowledge of agriculture and sports an
asset.
Competencies/Skills and Experience:
Must be reliable, able to meet deadlines, and comfortably converse with
people at all levels in the community. A high level of reporting skills (both
interviewing and written) is essential, as well as the ability to proof-read
copy. Must work as an effective team member, willing and able to cover
beats other than one's own during vacation periods; and maintain a
friendly, working relationship with other departments of the newspaper.
Qualifications must include a college diploma or university degree in jour-
nalism. A reliable vehicle is required.

• Troubleshooting - equipment breakdowns and repairs
• Blueprint reading and comprehension
Applicants would ideally have two years welding and cutting experi-
ence and also have a minimum of a DZ driver's license. The ability to
climb with no fear of heights is a necessity and you must be willing to
work overtime during peak periods. Knowledge of grain cleaning
equipment and HACCP procedures would be considered an asset.

The Listowel Banner is seeking a Sports
Reporter/Photographer with the skills and
sports -savvy to take charge of a comprehensive
sports section at a thriving community newspa-
per.
Requirements include post -secondary training
in journalism, excellent writing and photogra-
phy skills, a solid knowledge of a diverse range
of sporting and leisure activities and the ability
to develop contacts within the community.
Duties include coverage of sporting activities in
Listowel and throughout the North Perth
Community, including Junior Cyclone hockey .
Position includes writing game reports and fea-
tures, processing submitted sports copy and sta-
tistics and pagination of sports pages. The suc-
cessful applicant will also contribute some non -
sports news reporting, writing and photography.
This position requires some evening and week-
end work. Vehicle also required.
