Total receipts
2887 head of cattle, 688 lambs and goats .
Summary
Tuesday: The fed steers and heifers sold on a steady
market. Choice steers and heifers sold 82 - 85 sales to
93.50. Second cut sold 80 - 82. Cows sold on a good
steady market..
Thursday: Veal sold $5 higher. Lambs sold under pres-
sure. Goats and Sheep sold steady..
Friday: Calves sold $5 lower and Yearlings sold on a
steady market.
Steers
There were 376 steers on offer.
Loomis Farms Ltd. of Ailsa Craig consigned 11 steers
averaging 1465 lbs, selling for an average of 85.62, with
seven limo steers averaging 1479 lbs, selling for 88.35.
Five steers were consigned by Jim Wilson of Lucknow
averaging 1415 lbs, selling for an average of 86.13, with
one blk steer weighing 1460 lbs, selling to Norwich
Packers for 88.
Cunningham Noland Cattle Co of Lucan consigned 40
steers averaging 1442 lbs, selling for an average of
83.58, with one blk steer weighing 1510 lbs selling for
86.75.
Mike Dalton of Goderich consigned six steers averaging
1464 lbs selling for an average of 84.68, with two red
steers averaging 1495 lbs selling for 86.
Jim Howatt of Londesboro, consigned 25 steers averag-
ing 1469 lbs, selling for an average of 84.76 with one blk
steer weighing 1485 lbs, selling for 85.75.
Heifers
There were 222 heifers on offer.
David Bowles of Brussels consigned fifteen heifers aver-
aging 1316 lbs, selling for an average of 84.74 with one
limo heifer weighing 1385 lbs, selling to Dominion Meat
Packers for 91.
Terry Greidanus of Londesboro consigned three heifers
averaging 1247 lbs, selling for an average of 87.91, with
one limo heifer weighing 1310 lbs selling for 91.
Jeff Lewington of Brussels consigned 20 heifers averaging
1215 lbs, selling for an average of 84.65 with one limo
heifer weighing 1230 lbs selling for 90.
John Martin of Lucknow consigned five heifers averaging
1407 lbs, selling for an average of 85.31, with four char
heifers averaging 1428 lbs selling for 85.50.
Melvin W. Bearinger of Mount Forest consigned 35
heifers averaging 1344 lbs selling for an average of 84.01,
with five char heifers averaging 1315 lbs selling to
Dominion Meat Packers for 85.
Don Beuerman of Dublin consigned 10 blk heifers aver-
aging 1273 lbs selling for 83.75.
Eckard Kamradt of Mitchell consigned eight heifers aver-
aging 1171 lbs, selling for an average of 78.75, with two
limo heifers averaging 1065 lbs selling Dominion Meat
Packers for 82.50.
Murray Switzer of St Mary's consigned 16 heifers averag-
ing 1387 lbs, selling for an average of 81.37, with 11 blk
heifers averaging 1408 lbs, selling for 81.75.
Cows
There were 165 cows on offer.
Beef Cows 40-46 sales to 65; D1 and D2 37-45; D3 30-
35; D4 20-28
Beverly Rae of Mount Forest, consigned three cows aver-
aging 1533 lbs, selling for an average of 48.21, with one
char cow weighing 1285 lbs, selling for 65.
Pecldtt Farms of Lucknow, consigned four cows averag-
ing 1184 lbs, selling for an average of 36.54. With one limo
cow weighing 1065 lbs, selling for 46.
Allen and Dorothy Martin of Listowel, consigned four limo
cows averaging 1355 lbs, selling for an average of 41.91,
with sales to 45.50.

There were 10 bulls on offer. 29.50 - 44.50 sales to 50.
