He weighed 8 lbs. 5 oz. and was 19 inches long. He is the first grandson for Sherman Brooks of Norman, Oklahoma and Sandra Burgess of Lucan. LAW - PATTERSON - Sarah Patterson formerly of Exeter and Kevin Law of Toronto are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their baby son Landon Christie William born August 16, 2007 at 2:57 PM at Mt. Sinai Hospital, Toronto, weighing 6 lbs. 15 ounces. Proud Grandparents are Hugh and Pat Patterson of Grand Bend, and Hilda Law of Toronto and the late John Christie Law. Loving great- grandmother is Floy Foreman of Exeter. Excited aunts and uncles are Catherine Patterson and Dave Robinson, Suzanne Patterson and Gord Beal, Karen and Rene Arseneault, and Ken and Line Law. Eagerly awaiting a playmate are cousins, Owen, Ella, Kevin, Michael, Daniel, and Frederick. A tremendous thanks to our family and friends who supported us throughout this pregnancy. (39*) 256 Deaths MCKINNON - Charles Francis McKinnon of Huron Park passed peacefully on September 23, 2007 in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Jeanette (Dean) McKinnon. Father to Barry and Angie McKinnon of Toronto, Charmaine and Michael Somerton of Hensall, Rickey and Shelley McKinnon of Londesborough and Debi McKinnon of Cambridge. Predeceased by two children Randy McKinnon and Roxanne (McKinnon) Raczycki. Loving grandfather of Dean, Nikki, Jeni, Ashley, Taryn, Shauna, Lauren, Richard, Jena, Zach, Bryton, Jessica, Garret, Ivan and Scarlett. Loved by seven great-grandchildren. Survived by his sister Josie and Dell Hall of London. Also greatly missed by several nieces and nephews. Loved by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Falconer Funeral Homes, 153 High Street, Clinton on Thursday, September 27, 2007 at 2:00 pm. Interment, Clinton Cemetery. (39) 258 In Memoriam DEBRUYN - Our precious infant daughter, Taylor Marie, arrived unexpectedly at the family residence, Ausable Line, Exeter, September 21, 2007, and passed away hours later at St. Joseph's Health Care, London, surrounded by the love of her family. Loved daughter of Kari (Taylor) and Marty DeBruyn of RR 1, Exeter. Will be missed by her grandparents Cindy Taylor of Hensall and friend Carl Davis of London, Marvin Taylor and fiancee Sheri Forde of Seaforth, Martin and Maryke DeBruyn of RR 1, Exeter and great-grandparents George and Judy Parker of Hensall, great- grandmother Marie Wulterkens of Holland. Dad and Darren 256 Deaths RAU - Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on September 20, 2007 Esther Sarah (Duffy) Rau of Exeter and formerly of St. Joseph in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late H. Alvin Rau (1972). Loving mother of Pamela and Tony De Jong of Exeter. Proud and loving grandmother of Toni De Jong and Sean Thomas of Goderich, Dawn De Jong of Scarborough and Christopher De Jong of Exeter. Dear sister of Rita Manley of Stratford and Bob and Ruth Duffy of Dublin. Predeceased by her brother Louis Duffy and sisters Mary O'Brien and Vera Murray. Esther touched many lives in her life as a teacher. She started her teaching career at the one room school, SS #1 Stanley in 1937 at the young age of 20. Her students knew her as a wonderful teacher but a very strict one. After a brief retirement, Esther was hired to be principal at St. Damien School in Grand Bend. When the school was closed, she came to Precious Blood School in Exeter where she taught until 1979. She felt great pride in her students and their accomplishments and was always happy to meet with for- mer students anywhere she went. Friends called at the Haskett Funeral Home, Exeter where Prayers were said on September 21st. The Funeral Mass was held at Precious Blood Church on September 22, 2007. Father Ray Lawhead celebrant. Interment St. Peter's Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Joseph. Donations to the Exeter Villa, South Huron Hospital or the Precious Blood Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
