Fall rally
for UCW

THAMES ROAD - Church worship
was in Goshen on Sunday with
Pastor Elly Van Bergen with the
welcome, announcements and the
call to worship.
Gerald Hayter Clerk of the Session
presented Tyler James Colclough
for baptism. Tyler is the son of
Mike and Leanne and brother of
Morgan. Greg and Charlene Keys
were godparents for Tyler. Both
sets of grandparents and two sets of
great grandparents were also there
to celebrate the baptism.
Jennifer and Linda Keys took part
in the ceremony and read the
Scripture readings.
Rep needed for Board
A representative to the Bluewater
Nursing Home Board from Goshen
United Church is needed immedi-
ately. Meetings are held the second
Wednesday of each month at noon.
Please speak to Elly if interested.
Next Sun., Sept. 30 church will be
in Varna celebrating Varna's
Anniversary.

POLICE BRIEF
Behavior leads
to charges
GRAND BEND — Lambton OPP
report that the consumption of illicit
drugs caused two persons to act
completely irrational and draw
attention to themselves. The end
result was drug charges. It is alleged
Sept. 1, officers were called for a
male person acting completely irra-
tional outside a Grand Bend Drug
store. Upon being spoken to, the
man was unable to recall his name,
where he was or where he was stay-
ing. He was taken into police care
for his protection and an attempt to
follow up. At the same time that was
going on, a second male, 28 years
old was reported wandering around
a motel parking lot completely
naked. He as well was acting inco-
herent, irrational and confused.
Police apprehended him for his safe-
ty. It was found out that he and the
other man were staying in a guest
room
