The vehicle was found and stopped in Exeter. The 21 -year-old driver was determined to be impaired and during the course of the arrest, the male party assaulted two officers. The male party had to be pepper sprayed in order to complete the arrest. One officer required medical attention. The male was transported to the Exeter detachment where he later provided breath samples. It was con- firmed the male was impaired. As a result of the investigation a Goderich man is charged with two counts of assaulting police, one count of resisting a peace officer, one count of impaired driving, one count of driving with over 80 mgs of alcohol and one count of breaching probation.
