Eight local skaters participated including Kristen Walsh who placed third in Pre -Preliminary `A'; Evelyn Walsh -eighth in Pre - Preliminary `B'; Kathleen Gregus- fifth in Pre -Preliminary `B'; Kirsten Brintnell-sixth in Pre -Preliminary `B'; Danielle Marion, fifth; Katrina Jeromkin, fourth in Junior Bronze Starskate; Abbey Oke,eighth and Justine Shephard, first. The club will host the `Future Stars' competition in Exeter March 1-2 as well as preparing program assistants with a certified clinic along with the professional coach- es for returning and new skaters to the club. Membership was well over 100 last year, including canskate, junior, senior and synchro teams and the club is looking to have about 40 skaters competing this season. "We will have two or three test days and a showcase for the public in January to show our entire clubs talent and accomplish- ments," said McLlwain. Registration for the club is Sept. 11 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the South Huron Rec Centre.
