"This cheque is a godsend," says HFHHC chair- person Terry Taylor, adding that the whole com- munity of Hensall and area "has really got behind this project and made it the resounding success that it is." Although Greenfield Ethanol has not yet built its plant, Taylor says he's pleased Greenfield Ethanol is already demonstrating they are supporting the Hensall community. Greenfield Ethanol Hensall project manager Manon Berube of Montreal says, "It's very good to be able to support the community where you do business." Taylor says the money will be used for materials, adding that he thinks the Hensall family, Jennifer, daughter Catherine and son Adam, "will do very well in their new home." HFHHC will build its next home in Goderich in 2008 and in an exclusive interview with the T -A, HFHHC past president Paul Dyck says they are planning to build their 2009 home in Exeter, possi- bly constructing a duplex for two families. "This is subject to lot availability, volume base and searching for two partner families," says Dyck. He says the HFHHC also needs a "proper zoned building lot," which they continue to work on. HFHHC also hired executive director Robert Spano through a trillium grant, who will start up a restore. A news release from HFHHC states, "His first task is to start up the restore. A restore collects goods from several suppliers including home depot and sells them at reduced prices. The profit from the restore goes directly into building homes in Building homesHabitat r rng o Habitat ti `lr Humanity .+ 'oN COUNTY Iron County's next valv,Q;wMi hapwallW,awtounty'.ca "iaMm al Oma N0 NO 26&5222 Exciting projects — Habitat for Humanity Huron County (HFHHC) was given a $5,000 cheque by Greenfield Ethanol Hensall July 26, to be used for materials at the Hensall home.Above from left are HFHHC executive director Robert Spano, Greenfield Ethanol Hensall project manager Manon Berube, HFHHC chair- person Terry Taylor, HFHHC fundraising committee representative Vern Alderdice, Hensall homeowner Jennifer and son Adam Walker. There are more than 1,400 in Huron County liv- ing under the poverty line, according to Revenue Canada. "If Hensall can build a Habitat home, I don't see why every community in Huron County can't build a Habitat home," says Taylor. "The communities do not have to wait for HFHHC to come to them," he adds.
