South Huron was strug- gling to find their rhythm and found themselves in a hole when Glencoe scored early in the second half. South Huron did- n't give up and started pouring on the pres- sure late in the game. Timely and well struck goals by Van Esbroeck and Branderhorst helped to keep South Huron's six -game undefeated streak intact. July 19 SH versus Lucan Goals: Megan Sereda, Justine Van Esbroeck, Kristin Ferguson (2) Goalkeepers: Magen Overholt July 26 SH 4 versus Glencoe 2 Goals: Megan Sereda, Kristin Ferguson, Jody Spring, Lindsay Branderhorst Goalkeepers: Taryn Anstett, Magen Overholt Coaches comments: On Thursday, South Huron found them- selves in a hole once again. A disinterested start put the home side down by two to a hus- tling Glencoe team in the first half. Fortunately, South Huron found their form and fight and climbed back into the driver's seat at the end of the first half and through- out the second. South Huron's winning streak was extended to nine with this victory. Aug. 2 SH 9 versus Strathroy 0 Goals: Jody Spring, Kristin Ferguson (2), Colleen Willert, Justine VanEsbroeck, Miranda Mattucci (2), Lindsay Branderhorst (2) Goalkeepers: Magen Overholt Coaches comments: This was the most com- plete game that South Huron has played this season. They moved the ball around their Strathroy opponent and controlled all aspects of the game. Even though the weather was warm, South Huron 1 came out focused and deter- mined and dominated. The excellent play by all members of the team earned South Huron 1 their tenth consecutive victory. Future games: Aug. 9, Nabisco field
