New beds for Blue Water Rest Home
ZURICH — Members of
the Board of Directors at
Blue Water Rest Home
(BWRH) recently gathered
around one of the second
group of electrically -oper-
ated beds delivered to the
Long -Term Care Home.
The beds were pur-
chased from the proceeds
of the Rest Well fundrais-
ing campaign, which
since its beginning in
November 2005, has
raised over $84,000
towards the initial goal of
$102,000 the Home
required to replace all 65
beds in the Home.
Forty four of the older,
mechanically -operated
beds have now been
replaced.
"The beds greatly
improve the comfort and
safety of our residents
here," said BWRH admin-
istrator Martha Craig.
"They can be quickly
repositioned as needed;
the staff find that they
need far less effort to
operate and they reduce
the risk of injury to staff
and residents."
