Total receipts 2152 head of cattle, 973 lambs and goats. Summary Tuesday: The fed steers and heifers sold steady. Choice steers and heifers sold 96 - 100 sales to 104. Second cut sold 93 - 96. Cows sold $3 - $4 higher. Thursday: Veal sold on a strong active trade. Heavy Lambs sold $2 - $5 lower, while the light Lambs sold steady. Sheep and Goats sold steady. Friday: Calves and Yearlings sold on a strong active trade. Steers There were 483 steers on offer. Good Holstein 70 - 78 sales to 79 Medium Holstein 50 - 60 Plain & Heavy Holstein Plain: N/A POLICE BRIEFS Guns stolen from residence BLUEWATER - Two guns were stolen from a residence on Babylon Line in Bluewater July 22. The thieves opened the locked gun cabinet and took two long guns, one reming- ton rifle and one remington shotgun and an undisclosed amount of shot- gun ammunition. The thieves ran- sacked the residence also stealing a quantity of jewellery. The guns stolen were a 94 Winchester, serial number 44935203 and a Ranger Winchester, serial number 61601408.
