Qualifications & Experience 3 years post -secondary education in a business and/or maintenance -related field or equivalent and 5 years of related experience in construction management and maintenance at a supervisory level, preferably in an educational setting. Job Skills • Leadership, communication, employee -management and interpersonal skills for effective working relationships with all staff, outside contacts, union officials and trades personnel; • Experience in developing budgets and understanding of accounting methods; • Extensive knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment in various trade disciplines; • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and specifications; • Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements, codes and acts; • Effective project management and problem -solving capabilities; • Excellent computer literacy skills including standard office software applications, AutoCad, electronic maintenance and management systems; • Valid class G drivers license with access to reliable vehicle. The ability to climb with no fear of heights is a necessity and you must be willing to work overtime during peak periods. Knowledge of grain cleaning equipment and HACCP procedures would be considered an asset.
