Cows sold steady. Thursday: Veal sold on a strong trade. Lambs sold $5 higher. Goats sold steady, and sheep sold on a strong market. Friday: Calves and yearlings sold on a strong active trade. POLICE BRIEF Impaired driver in Exeter EXETER — On June 12 the Huron OPP were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on Mount Carmel Drive in South Huron. The complainant was outside when they observed a vehicle enter the south ditch. Police arrived on the scene, finding a 2001 red Subaru parked on the south shoulder with damage to the passenger side. The dri- ver was identified and was displaying signs of impairment by alcohol. The driver was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle and transported to the Huron detach- ment for breath tests. Two samples were received, analyzed and found to be almost twice the legal limit of 80 mgs of alcohol. A 19 -year-old male of London will attend Goderich Provincial Court August 23 facing one count of impaired driving with over 80 of alcohol in his system. Denfield Livestock Sales Denfield Livestock Market report for Tues., July 3. The market at Denfield Livestock traded on a good demand at prices $2 higher from the weekend decline. A good offering of cows traded active at fully steady prices, I-Iolstein bull calves a little brighter. Reg. 288/07, Clean Water Act, 2006 Summary of Functions of Committee: As outlined in the Clean Water Act, 2006 , the Ausable Bayfield and Maitland Valley Source Protection Committee will be created according to provincial regula- tion. The Source Protection Committee will oversee a science -based planning process to develop a Source Protection Plan to protect municipal sources of drinking water in the Ausable Bayfield and Maitland Valley Planning Region. The committee, by regulation, will be comprised of 15 members, excluding the Chair. The committee will be comprised of seats representing a variety of sectors to encompass the broad, multi- sectoral interests of the planning region. Applications are currently being accepted for representatives of the three major sectors which will each be assigned five (5) seats: municipal, economic and other public interest sectors.
