ABCA Nature Day Camps at Morrison Dam begin next week EXETER — The Ausable Bayfield Conservation Authority (ABCA) is providing parents with a fun and educational summer activity for children ages five to 10. Four one -day Nature Day Camps will be held through- out the summer at the Morrison Dam Conservation Area (just 2 km east of Exeter). Nature Day Camps start July 17 and will run biweekly: July 31, Aug. 14 and Aug. 28. Day camps will run from 9 to 4 p.m. and staff will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for early drop off and late pick up. Each day will be filled with loads of activities featuring games, hikes and experiments, with a focus on experi- ence and exploration in a natural environment. "It's our goal to reconnect youth to nature by providing hands-on educational experiences and dynamic pro- gramming," says ABCA conservation education techni- cian Denise Biega. The cost of one day of Nature Day Camp is $35 (lunch not included). If you register your child for more than one day, you will receive a discount, $65 per child for two days, $95 per child for three days and $120 per child for all four Nature Day Camps. "Pack a litterless lunch, snacks, water bottle, sun screen and bug spray for a great fun -filled day," says Biega.
