(photo/submitted) 7 cooking with memories BY DEBBY WAGLER BBQ Sauce for anything! I LOVE TO MAKE MY OWN BBQ SAUCE AND OFTEN USE IT FOR A SAUCE ON SAUSAGES FOR THE SENIORS I COOK FOR. I MAKE A VARIETY OF KINDS WITH THE BASE OFTEN FROM THIS RECIPE OF MY SISTER -IN-LAWS. SHE WOULD WHIP THIS UP WHEN SHE REALIZED SHE DIDN'T HAVE A SAUCE AND I LOVED IT EVERY TIME! THANKS TO FAYE FOR THIS GREAT RECIPE. 1 cup ketchup (or substitute tomato paste, puree or juice) 1 tbsp margarine (optional if using on a fatter type of meat) 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 tsp. onion flakes or 114 cup raw onion sauteed in the margarine 1 tsp. chili powder Take this basic BBQ sauce and you can easily change the flavour by omitting the chili powder and adding about 1/2 cup soya sauce. VERY Good! THE MUNICIPALITY OF SOUTH HURON WARD 1 (STEPHEN TOWNSHIP) WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM MASTER PLAN CLASS ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT Gartsby alio Mannerow ::wG<4EERS NOTICE OF SECOND PUBLIC INFORMATION CENTRE The Municipality of South Huron has initiated a Master Planning study to evaluate water servicing requirements for Ward 1 (former Stephen Township). The objective of the study is to conduct a thorough review of the overall system, document servicing issues and deficiencies, and identify potential upgrades to improve the level of service and accommodate future growth and development. The Master Planning study is proceeding in accordance with the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process. The Ward 1 water distribution system was constructed over the past 60 years as needs arose and financial opportunity allowed, without consideration to optimizing system design. The system has evolved from several separate systems into one large system that now requires renewal and consolidation. Based on study findings to date and discussions with the study Steering Committee comprised of Ward 1 Councilors and operations staff, a series of alternative solutions have been developed. Alternative solutions have been evaluated taking into consideration environmental and social impacts as well as cost benefits to the Municipality. Preliminary recommendations have been developed. A second public information centre (PIC) is planned at the following location to provide further information to the public and to receive input and comments from interested persons: Date: Wednesday, July 11th, 2007 Time: 6:00 p.m. — 9:00 p.m. Location: Olde Town Hall Conference Room, 322 Main Street South, Exeter Public consultation is an important part of the study and we encourage everyone who has an interest in this project to participate. Following this PIC, comments will be received until July 31th, 2007. If you are unable to attend the PIC and would like to review and provide comments for consideration, or would like additional information, please contact either of the following Project Team members: Don Giberson Manager of Operations, Water & Sewer Municipality of South Huron 322 Main Street South, Box 759 Exeter, ON NOM 1 S6 Tel: (519) 235-0310 ext. 226 Fax: (519) 235-3304 email: d.giberson@town.southhuron.on.ca Paul McLennan, R Eng Project Manager Gamsby and Mannerow Limited Suite 210, 255 Woodlawn Road West Guelph, ON N1H 8J1 Tel: (519) 824-8150 ext. 246 Fax: (519) 824-8089 email: pmclennan@gamsby.com
