SOUTH HURON — The
planned $6.2 million
Crediton/Centralia sewer
project was the hot topic
again at South Huron coun-
cil's most recent meeting.
As reported in the May 17
Times -Advocate, council has
officially decided to go ahead
with the controversial project
with a promise to exhaust all
grant possibilities.
The municipality has twice
previously been denied a
Canada -Ontario Municipal
Rural Fund (COMRIF) grant,
which could have potentially
paid two-thirds of the cost.
Without a grant, property
owners in the two villages
are facing an approximately
$20,000 bill for the new sew- issues to

how the municipality can
charge residents.
As Giberson explained,

frontage — the average price
in Crediton would be

Giberson said the second
option is "very fair" for some
