OCPA general manager to retire
GUELPH — Brian Doidge, general manager of the Ontario
Corn Producers (OCPA) Association will retire from the organiza-
tion June 30, he announced recently.
Doidge joined the OCPA staff on a full-time basis in 2002.
Prior to 2002, he worked closely with the OCPA for over a
decade on a part-time basis while serving as senior college pro-
fessor at Ridgetown College at the University of Guelph.
"With Brian's background in economics, policy and marketing
and his proactive approach, he has been a tremendous resource
for not only OCPA, but for Ontario's grain and oilseed sector as a
whole, says OCPA president Doug Eadie.
"His tireless efforts over the years in issues affecting the indus-
try are appreciated by many."
The OCPA has named Ryan Brown as the interim general man-
ager.
Brown joined the OCPA Management Team as the productions
issues manager in 2003 after graduating from the University of
Guelph.
The Ontario Corn Producers' Association, founded in 1983, is a
non-profit association representing 21,000 Ontario corn produc-
ers.
