The bride is the daughter of Mike and Wendy Masse of RR 3, Zurich. The couple is liv- ing in Zurich. Laurene Corriveau of Zurich attended the wed- ding of her grandson, Craig Corriveau and Alyson Baer at the United Church in Goderich on Sat., June 3. The reception was held in Saltford. The groom is the son of Ron and June Corriveau of Goderich. Ron's brothers Doug Corriveau of Calgary and Peter of California and his two children. will be attending. Congratulations to Pam Estep and Chad Monteith who were married on May 6 at the Zurich Mennonite Church. Dinner and recep- tion was held in the church hall. The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Marlene Estep of RR 3, Zurich. The couple are living in London. St. Peter's Catholic Women's League of St. Joseph held their meeting on June 6 in the parish hall. Guest speaker was Norma Grainger of Blessing Community Store in Zurich. The clustered parishes of St. Boniface, St. Peter's and Immaculate Heart of Mary held a farewell get together for Father Francis who is returning to India for a rest. Father John will now be our Pastor with another priest coming to help him out. Zurich Bean Sprout Nursery School are hold- ing an Open House and Registration at the Township Hall on June 6, 7 and 8 from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. for children ages 2 - 5 years. Come out to the Fair Board meeting Thurs., June 8 at the Township Hall 7:30 p.m. and help plan the Zurich Fair which is on July 21, 22 and 23. A family get together and birthday celebration was held for Ron Schroeder on Sim., June 3. A brunch was held at Erb's Country Kitchen with 10 people attending. Balloons and cake were also part of the party for him. A Buck and Doe was held for Brian Gingerich and Rianne Laye on May 26 at the Zurich Complex. Brian is the son of Stue and Linda Gingerich of RR 2, Zurich. The wedding will be held in August. Students of Laurie Erb held their piano recital at the Lutheran Church Hall recently. Aimee Rau held her recital at St. Boniface School gym on Sun., June 4 for several of her music students. Irving Larson of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan recently spent a week vis- iting his cousin, Leo and Irene Hoffman at Hesswoods Sub -division in Zurich. Alicia Kikkert of Los Angeles, California spent a week visiting with her mother Ann Kikkert and family at RR 2, Zurich. A Gospel Blue -Grass ZURICH NEWS concert will be held at the Zurich Mennonite Church on Sun., June 11 at 2:30 p.m. The group "Peach Picker's are from Niagara Falls area. Free will offer- ing and everyone is most welcome to come out and hear them. Bayfield Flea market is now being held on Sundays, outside at the Bayfield Arena. Martha Risi of Zurich and sisters Theresa Bedard of Hensall, Uleen of London and other friends enjoyed a trip by bus to lake George, New York. They attended con- certs and a dinner cruise. Several groups of "Red Hats" clubs from various areas got together on Sun., June 4 at Grand Bend, Grand Cove Estates for a fancy Tea party with almost 200 ladies in atten- dance. Zurich Beavers held a Bike Rodeo recently behind the old Zurich Arena and also went on a tour of the Goderich Train Yard ending with a pizza supper. The Cubs went bowling at Town and country Lanes. In May they spent three -days camping at Grand Bend Motorplex with leaders and parents. Members of the Beavers and Scouts helped to clean-up the grounds at ;adets a rack a at ew ometit� The officers, staff and cadets of 2923 Huron Middlesex Royal Canadian Army Cadets Corps were welcomed to their new home at the Exeter Legion June 4 with their annual inspection ceremony.The cadets will be operating out of the Legion when they start their new training year in SeptembecThe unit was reviewed by Exeter Legion president Larry Bailey and put on a display of precision drilling as well as a tug-of-war compe- tition between the cadets. Missing is cadet Hayden Jolly who won the Junior Esprit De Corps award.For information on joining the cadets contact the Exeter Legion.(photo/Pat Bolen) POLICE BRIEF Anti theft device stops car theft EXETER — On June 3 at about 2:30 a.m. a resident was awaken to find the family car stolen and last seen heading eastbound on Huron Street. The victim had parked the vehicle in the driveway of the residence on Huron street in Exeter. The vehicle was left unlocked with keys in the ignition. The victim had no worries though, as a new anti theft device had been installed and prevented the vehicle from traveling very far. The new product was an empty gas tank as the vehicle was located at 3:00 a.m. on Huron Street, gas tank empty. The vehicle had been rummaged through but was not damaged. Motorplex. The Scouts have been canoeing at Morrison Dam, Parkhill and a week- end camping in Woodstock. Theresa Regier has taken up residence at the Blue Water Rest Home Apartments.
