We sang a new Introit "This is the Day" and Dave gave words of welcome and everyone passed the Peace by shaking hands. Dave gave the announce- ments and helped Justin Pym to light the Christ candle. Dave led in the gathering prayer responsively and also gave the assurance of God's grace and love. Sharon Lynn gave a minute for council. Everyone read the affir- mation of our faith "A New Creed." The children's hymn "The Lord's my Shepherd was sung and Dave told children a story entitled "Knock and the Door will be Opened." The choir sang "Hallelujah, Amen" accompanied by Marilyn Vandenbussche on the piano. Dave gave the scripture reading John 10:11-18 and the title of his medita- tion was "Outside The Fold." The hymn of praise "We are Pilgrims on a Journey" was sung. Erin Parsons and Shannon Dawn Cooper received the offering and Marilyn Pym brought an item forward for the Food Bank. Marilyn Pym gave a minute for mission entitled "Queen's Bush." Dave gave prayers for the people. The closing hymn "In Christ There is No East or West" was sung. Dave gave the com- missioning and pro- nounced the Benediction. Everyone sang the closing chorus. Judith Ritchie after everyone had asked questions and voted. Rev. Judith will start on May 15, 2006. Announcements Next Sunday is Mother's Day and the congregation is invited to wear flowers out of respect for their mothers. Volunteers are being recruited to operate the new sound system. Training will be provided. Time could go towards high school volunteer hours. Contact Robert Bray by April 23 if you are interested. Sunday School Dates: May 14 and June 4. May 10 Community Shower for Laura Skinner at 7:30 p.m. at the church. Please bring sandwiches or squares. May 28 Conference Sunday. There will be no church service at Thames Road - Elimville U.C. Community Centre on Tuesday evening.
